Karan Johar and Anurag Kashyap were saddened and shocked on hearing that ‘The Lunchbox’ lost out to a Gujarati film ‘The Good Road’ as India’s official entry to the Oscars.
The filmmakers also took to Twitter to express their displeasure.
However, ‘The Good Road’ director Gyan Correa hopes that Karan and Anurag will guide him through this Oscar journey.
“They are disappointed now but I am sure that after few days everything will be alright and they will support my film. It is not my personal film. It’s India’s film. People like Anurag Kashyap and Karan Johar are my seniors and they will surely give me an advice on how to go about it from here on,” Gyan told .
Well, we’ll have to wait and see if Karan and Anurag lend their support to Gyan’s film.
