Kangana Ranaut has now turned into a director. No, she’s not directing any Bollywood film. The actress’ first project as a director is a short film that’s written in collaboration with an Australian writer. The film deals with a complex subject involving a dog and a four-year-old boy and has been shot in Los Angeles with an all-American cast and crew.
Kangana attended a lot of workshops and researched on child psychology to prepare for this film. A recent trip to LA and meetings with Hollywood biggies is what prompted Kangy to take up this project.
About directing the child actor and the dog, Kangana said, “Kaden (the child actor) is very young, they had to place hidden cameras and play games with him in order to get him in the frame. The dog however was well-trained and not difficult to work with.”
