Keeping your skin hydrated and fresh is one of the vital elements to staying beautiful.It is therefore important to keep it clean and healthy. And how exactly would you do that? Simple! Follow the steps below (P.s. these are tried and tested methods and are sure to work wonders for your skin! Simple yet miraculously brilliant!).
Cleanse your face daily! It is vital you do so as this will not only keep your face hydrated but it will also get rid of dust from your face.
Many times we see different types of face masks on TV and various websites that will help keep your face fresh and young! But not all of them work, here are a few kickass solutions sure to work (remember these methods are tried & tested!).
When you wake up in the morning instead of just cleansing your face with water, apply a fruit face wash. Preferably of citrus fruits or berries as these are the most helpful ones! Citrus fruits contain antioxidants which will help moisturise your skin as well as keeping it fresh! It also helps in improving your complexion and get rid of freckles etc. They also work tremendously well for treating oily skin and acne. Citrus fruits and berries contain vitamins C and E. A berry fruit face wash will help exfoliating dead skin cells. It will also help in reducing the amount of wrinkles and visible signs of ageing on your face. Berries also contain an ellagic acid which is great for protecting the skin from UV rays something people living in India have to fight against everyday! Many skin experts recommend using a good fruit face wash daily. Good fruit face washes you could buy are Lakme Berry Lush & Citrus Rain.
A Yoghurt face mask is one of the best masks as it not only helps cleansing your face and keeping it hydrated but it also helps prevent acne and revitalise your skin’s texture.
A quick home made yoghurt mask is helpful in many ways. A simple yet great way to keep your skin moisturised! It is a degerming cleanser, it soothes irritation and softens skin. It is also very helpful in treating skin diseases such as eczema.
How To: Get a bowl and fill it with Plain Yoghurt (Dahi). Then get a make-up brush (make sure you wash it before using it and after using it for application do not use the brush for applying make up and keep this one separate for face masks only and then wash the brush after applying the mask.) and dip it into the bowl and take a generous amount of cold yoghurt and apply it to your face. Apply it on all parts of your face apart from your mouth and eyes (for obvious reasons). Then leave it on your face for upto 30 minutes and wash it with luke warm water. Once you wash it, pat it dry and you will find that your skin is not only much softer but it feels cleaner and ‘happier’ too! Your skin will be thanking you for this!
Applying this mask occassionally or rarely will not help your skin you must apply it every other day or weekly to get solid results permanently!
