Salman Khan has sought the support of the Pakistani people and media for Sarabjit Singh’s release. Sarabjit has been on death row in a Lahore jail since 1990 for his alleged involvement in bombings. “Requesting the people of Pakistan to support me to help free Sarabjit who has been in prison since 30 years,” Salman wrote on Twitter. “Request the ‘awam’ (public) of Pakistan, members of press, government, President Zardari. It would be an amazing gesture to send Sarabjit back to his family after 30 years.”
