Little update on how the future of Bollywood has done over this year.
Actors:
Ranbir Kapoor: Rockstar (On its way to becoming a hit according to box office india)
Imran Khan: Delhi Belly (Superhit), Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (Hit)
Ranveer Singh: Ladies vs Ricky Babl (Cant decide on this yet, but I have a feeling it will work)
Actress:
Sonam Kapoor: Thank you (Average), Mausam (Flop)
Anushka Sharma: Patiala House (Flop), Ladies vs Ricky Babl (Cant decide on this yet, but I have a feeling it will work)
Asin: Ready (Superhit)
Deepika Padukone: Aarakshan (Flop), Desi Boyz (waiting for nov 25)
So thoughts??
Ranbir is the biggest star this year – hands down
Disagree on verdict of two movies Ready is blockbuster n Thankyou is flop. This yr in males Imran is leading the pack coz Dehli belly was kind of niche film it worked. Folowed by Ranbir coz he has only one movie. In actoresses no hopes from Desiboyz flop written all over it have hopes from anushka next it think it will work.
You make a valid point – but Ranbir has the star power and the box office collections are huge for Rockstar!
Yepp Ready was a blockbuster ! I think Ranbir, Ranveer and Imran have had a good year …Among the ladies i think only Anushka and Asin have been lucky ! Feel bad that Sonam’s films didnt work.. Hope she is more lucky next year.
